Early mornings along the Big Sur coast, regardless of the time of year, are often fogged in. But above the fog the views can be spectacular. This is a southward view with the sun rising to the left. The high "mackeral" sky forwarns of a weather front that arrived later the same day, drenching the coast in heavy rain over several days.
